Today we listened to the story The Tale of Johnny Town-Mouse, by Beatrix Potter.  This story is had many words the students were not familiar with, so we spent time talking about word meanings, but also how some of the words had multiple meanings.  We thought about one of the ending lines in the story, "One place suits one person, another place suits another person."  We talked about places we would like to live and wrote about them today.  We will write tomorrow about a place we would not like to live and why.
We also reviewed addition facts through five by sorting out facts that were either true or false for the sum of five.  We talked about the importance of stopping to think and check your work instead of guessing or going too fast.

Have a nice evening!
