Today we learned more about symbols of the United States.  We saw a video about four U.S. symbols.  Ask me name at least two symbols of the United States.  We zoomed in on The Statue of Liberty.  We learned that although the statue is made of copper like a penny, it is not brown, but green.  We found out it changed because it is outside and gets wet.  Here is a little experiment you can do at home to see how this happens.

We analyzed a photograph of The Statue of Liberty.  We looked at the parts that make up the statue and found out what they symbolize.  Then we sketched the statue and labeled the parts.

Have a great weekend!
