Same, Same but Different, by Jenny Sue Kostecki-Shaw, is a beautiful book about two pen pals from different parts of the world. The two boys learn about each other through paintings and words and find they have many similarities, some things are different. To get a taste of this book, please watch the trailer below.
What makes you, you? Remarkably You, by Pat Zietlow Miller, is a wonderful book that helps the reader recognize how important it is to be who you are. There are so many things that make us who we are, and this book helps young learners to see that being who they are is important. You might go unnoticed, or shine like a star, but wherever you go and whoever you are… don’t change how you act to be just like the rest. Believe in yourself and the things you do best. Be sure to check this blog to see what we've been reading. I'll post the cover and description of the book so you can talk about it with your child. We will keep track of the books we read in the classroom on ten frames, which will make it easy to see how many books we have read for our challenge!
