Today we started our day by making estimates of how much money we made at the Bake Sale. Most of the estimates came in around $200. We had a few in the thousands, and as usual, someone suggested infinity. We sorted our money then counted it. This was no easy task because we had a lot of money in our can! Ask me what the total was! So you don't have to wait, I'll just tell you because it is the highest total ever for our bake sale alone. We made $826.24! Thank-you so much for your hard work and dedication to this project. Without you, this would not have been possible. Frank's mom took the treats that did not sell to the Children's Inn at NIH. I'll be posting pictures of the sale and from NIH on the homepage later when I get home. We are continuing to get raffle tickets sales in, and made an announcement to the school today with our bake sale total and a reminder to buy tickets. We will advertise more this week. Again, I can't thank you all enough for the work you did and for coming out and standing around on such a hot, humid day.
We also wrapped up what we have learned about jobs since now we have actual sales and baking experience. We thought about the people we met this year in our unit of study about jobs. We wrote and drew about what we would like to be when we grow up. We will share this with you at our end of the year celebration. We learned about interviewing today. We thought about questions that are interesting and would be answered with more than a yes or no. Then, we were assigned partners and thought of and wrote down questions to ask them tomorrow. We will be writing a biography of our friend. Today was a busy day! So much to celebrate! Be sure to check out the homepage of our website later tonight for pictures! Juliet
