We read one of my all time favorite books today called Mr. George Baker, by Amy Hest.  Ask me to tell you about this book! Then we practiced retelling using The Five Finger Retell.  The Five Finger Retell provides a framework for us to give a complete retell of the story.  We practiced with partners and will continue to use this framework to get better at retelling longer and more complex stories.  I included the framework here, but it will also be available on the Reading page under Curriculum.  

We also learned about using adjectives in our writing.  We wrote about a favorite food and used adjectives to describe the food.
