Today we read Curious George Takes a Job, by H.A. Rey.  We identified the main idea as well as the supporting details.  We also talked about jobs, where people perform their job, and why the jobs are important.  Then we wrote about a job.  We had math in the computer lab today.  We worked with a new computer program that has pattern blocks to create designs and pictures.  We have done this in the classroom with manipulatives, but did it on the computer today.  Then we looked at abstract art by Klee, Matisse, Picasso, and Kandinsky to inspire our own digital artwork.  We color and shapes to begin to create artwork using our favorite Pixie program!  Students will have additional opportunities to create digital artwork in the classroom.  We watched part of a video clip today about different habitats.  We will be learning about habitats and the plants and animals found in several habitats over the next few weeks.

Have a great evening!
