We had a great day today learning more about each other.  We shared our timelines today.  We took time to take a gallery walk around the room and study the timelines our classmates had made.  We looked for ways they had changed and learned new things from the pictures.  We noticed that although everyone made a timeline, they were all presented in different ways.  Later, we had students share their timeline and talk about their favorite picture on the timeline.  A huge thank-you to families for your help with the project!  I was so happy to see so much kid-work, but I know they had support in getting the pictures and talking about those important milestones.  I will be posting pictures probably later tonight or tomorrow, so please check back.  The pictures will be on our homepage.
We also had a visit from Mrs. Kanter today.  She talked with the kids about thinking and making good choices.  We talked about "Stop, Think and Do."  Be sure to ask me about the paper I am bringing home that shows how I can stop, think and do.
This week, I made a mistake with the homework.  I put it on our website, but must not have clicked on the "Post" button, so last week's homework was on the site.  I had gone over the math websites with the students in computer lab so they would be familiar with them at home.  I'll keep those for our homework next week, and we were not adding any new word wall words since we are in a testing window about in reading.  Sorry for any confusion!
