Great morning today!  We opened the Write Around the Room Station in the morning.  This station gives students the chance to move around the room looking for pictures and words, usually about the content we are studying in social studies, science or reading.  Our words this week are about weather.

The children borrowed a library book today.  They can have the book for a week, or can bring it back earlier and go up any other morning to exchange their book for a different book.

We learned about tally marks today and how to represent numbers in ways other than writing the numeral.

We finished our reading testing today and will begin reading groups tomorrow.  We are sooooo excited!

Be sure to check out or website homepage.  I have added a section on the right-hand side of the page with interesting things going on  in the area.  The National Building Museum is having a free festival this weekend called The Big Build.  It's a great event for all ages.  I've linked the website to the National Building Museum and this event, as well as another ongoing exhibit your family might be interested in visiting.

Enjoy this beautiful weather!

Juliet
