Today we listened to a great story called Armadillo Rodeo, by Jan Brett.  We talked about the setting.  We talked about animals and we would see in desert like in the story.  Ask me about Armadillo Rodeo and the trouble Bo got into by wandering off and following his "red armadillo friend."  We also worked with solid shapes.  We identified the faces, edges and corners, and reviewed their names.  We are working with cylinders, cones, spheres, prisms, pyramids and cubes. We talked about the differences between shapes such as spheres and cylinders.  We also listened to a sweet story called The Reader, by Amy Hest.  We thought of words that are opposites of some of the words in the story.
Our room smells so lovely right now!  Thank-you again for the beautiful lily the class gave me for Valentine's Day.  It is beautiful to look at and gives the room such a nice smell!
